    Wehrpass

I have had this Wehrpass for many years and thought I would ask if someone could translate some of the info inside. I would really like to know the spelling of this mans name and to know where one can find burial information.
    Thanks jackboot

Thanks for that information Ian. Im sure that is him as page three of his Wehrpass shows his date of birth April 15 1911.The day he was killed though shows 19 being the day and 43 the year but not sure what the number is for month?Jackboot

19.2.1943 according to the Wehrpaß and 19.1.1943 from the German War Graves site.......one of course is incorrect.....could be a typo on the latter or even a mistake by the clerk who sent details back during the war!

I'm sure a mistake as you say. Have to say It gives one thought to Gefreiter Menshing's sad ending. Buried far from home. One of millions lost in that wars wake. Thanks again for the information gentleman.jackboot
