Joseph Deters was probably assigned as infantryman sometime after D-Day and was killed in action in August 1944:

      Very nice Soldbuch.

Deters got his Soldbuch from the 4. Kompanie of the 6. Ersatz Marine Artillerie Abteilung. Nice and not often seen 'Zweigkompanie 6.E.M.A.A.' stamp.
4./6.E.M.A.A. was stationed in Groningen, Netherlands, during WW2 and was a navy training unit.
