    Fake dog tag

    Hello,
Given to me by a friend in the Czech Republic years ago. Just thought some here would like to see some of the fakery that was going on there just as it did and does everywhere. Too bad all of the fakes aren't this easy to spot.

Any Armenian Legion reenactors out there looking for one to wear?

For me this dog tag is for collectors, not reenactors.
    IMO this is original one

Really? I'm obviously no expert on these, but just thought that it being steel was wrong. I also read that the legion fought in southern France, so had no idea how it would have ended up in northern Bohemia.

Armenian Legion was formed at Pulawy (in occupied Poland).

Looks other Ost Legions dog tags made in a similar manner.

          Regards,

Dziękuję and merci for your help with this and I'm glad I finally got around to posting it. I would have sold it at a show for $5 if I hadn't known. Always good to find out something you thought was a copy is original, certainly much better than the other way around.

Goog Armenian tag. Mine n° 4668, found in a POW camp in Normandie is similar.
