WP Artillery Abt. RÖMER and Cassino

Picked up this nice Wehrpass with some Photos and Fieldpostletters from this Guy.
Served 1937 to the Army - service from 1937- 1943 killed in Actoin.

Who know more about the Artillery Abteilung RÖMER - i think its Römers Autograph in the Wehrpass - from his last unit Heavy Artillery Abt. 450.

    Interesting Battles:
Westernfront 1940, Russia 1941-42, New Fromed in Germany, and in 1943 Battles in Italy, here you can read - Service with Divsion No. 44 "Hoch und Deutschmeister" in October 1943.

I have search this Guy at the German Volksbund - his Grave is in the German Cemetry at CASSINO, he died at ROMAGNOLI - is this Town near Cassino ?

In December 1943 he was burried at the WAr Cemetry of the 65. ID in Italy.

More Informations welcome - i think a verry interesting Wehrpass.

                      Villa Romagnoli (Lanciano) ???

A dramatic and important page in the history of Villa Scorciosa was written during the
World War II. In the fall of 1943, the Germans stopped the Allied advance on
Gustav Line, which cut Italy in two through the rivers Garigliano, and Sangro. Villa
Scorciosa found himself in the middle of the first German line, exposed to bombing raids and
under the fire of the German guns stationed on the hills of Frisia.

...... another argument in favor is that the 65 ID was here (between Orsogna and Ortona) at the beginning of November 1943 ...
