    What division?

Genefenden Komp Pz Pion Grf Batl 29 Any ideas what div this unit belonged to? in early 43 its a Wehrpaz entry.

This unit belonged to the 29th Motorized Inf. Div which was with the 6th Army at Stalingrad and thus destroyed....

It was reformed in early 1943 as the 29th Panzer Grenadier Division....and served in Sicily and thru the entire Italian Campaign until the "end" of th war there. Highly regarded as Combat Div.

    Hope this helps....

            Hello

The Panzerpionier Ersatz Bataillon 29 wasn't under command of any field-Division. (Feldheer)
The Bataillon belonged to the (replacement) Division 409. (Like Ian Jewison said)
