    An extraordinary history !!

Here is the third piece of more interesting paper still and more oppressive for Karl Wenzel. It is about the list of the fights against the partisans in whom it participated : in Russia for the numbers 1 and 2, in France for the numbers 3 - 10.

      An extraordinary history !!

The fourth and last piece of paper presents an only military aspect of the Karl's Wenzel career. It is not a question any more of fighting partisans but of fighting with a regular army. Karl Wenzel participates in three Nahkampftage to Rehaupal (village close to Gerardmer in Vosges).

I don't know if i understand your question correctly but the blockade breakers badge could be awarded to a member of any of the services and the merchant marine.

        regards

I have been away for a few days and this was a pleasure to read on my return!

            Hello Simon,

thank you, however I am still trying to figure out when in regards to the entries in the Wehrpass he could have served with the Handelsmarine and / or what army unit would have been involved in what action.

My wifes Grandfather got the Blockade breaker badge in 44, He had been on a supply ship in 1939 and it qualified him for it.
