Nice Wehrpass and a great research job, as you usually do

I wonder why this fallen is burried among the "Unbekannten". As he died behind the lines and the accident has been officially registered in the documents, very probably his comrades were able to burry him properly and not in a mass grave. Maybe his grave was destroied by the war and the it was impossible to identify his body, who knows.

      Grazie Ironcrown!

the closing record on page 12 strangely is dated 06/11/44, when the attack was on 10/26/1944 .... may be that the partisans have brought with them Otto or that his tomb has been lost or violated.......... I also did a little research in the partisan memories of the Garfagnana and in October they mention two attacks on German vehicles, before a truck where the driver injured, and then talk about an attack on a German truck failure where they kill 7 soldiers and injure 10 .... maybe these Germans statt are all buried in a mass grave? everything is possible ...

      ciao Oriano
