Heer Wehrpaß and many documents incl NSKK

    Good day

Here is a big group of documents and photos to Gefr Egon Becker. I think he served in various reserve units but has been awarded the EK2

Is there anything particularly interesting about the group?

    Many thanks

    James

Interesting that he was with the "Wehrwirtschaftliche Ersatz Abteilung" a unit to guarantee the replacement and supply of the army specially in the occupied areas.

There was also a car park unit and as the guy was metalworker it could be that he was working there.

Here are a lot of more information (written in German) dealing with this unit:

This is the back of the photo in the trench. Does it say where it was taken?

And I think the second document is to do with the EK 2 award

              Thanks Gerdan for your comments

                "Jägerhöhe Nov. 42"

There are a few locations named "Jägerhöhe".

The last part of the writing on the back of the photos says that it was taken 1.6.44 when the

There is a castle called Moritzburg near Dresden:

This was the place where they met. In front of this restaurant the pic was taken:

The award-entry beneath the EK II. Klasse is that of "Verwundetenabzeichen in schwarz (= wound badge in black).

                      Kind regards, Peter

11./Inf.Rgt.12 was his field unit from Oct. 42 until his wounding.

The field post number (09878d) on the EKII notice to his parents is from the 11 Kp Inf. Rgt. 12. He was probably serving with this unit when he earned the award. As to the NSKK document, the NSKK oversaw training in "substitute" type gas vehicles.
