    Tim

more than 7000 victims in one night. The city was burning about 7 days and nights. Incredible!
His family might have been among the victims.

    Best regards
    Gerdan

Hi Tim, one is sure "S.A.C.M." means "Société Alsacienne de Construction Mécanique", it is a french P.A.35 (P.A.= pistolet Automatique)...

For the other one, just called a Friend and tried some approaching italian Names : Bernardelli would habe been great... but it seems this firm produced after the War, Glicenti (Italia) or Beitonni (Spain).... If not "Slowakei" as I thought first, then I will research further.... I keep you informed, regards. Lionel.

very interesting ... is almost certainly a Bernardelli cal. 10.35 for "Guardia di Finanza" (Finantial police) virtually identical to the Bedeo (or Glisenti) revolver....

I tried to be subtle about it in Post #14, but this Soldbuch has absolutely NOTHING to do with being a Sniper.

Hundestaffel, I think you missed posts #8 and 9. The "SS" abbreviation is indeed not for Scharfschütze and there are no other entries supporting a deployment as sniper.
Mufasa and Lionel, the entry does read Bernardelli.. thanks for the ID!
