L.W. Wehrpass
I can read that he was issued a Ostmedal in 1942 which is a Russian front medal. he was trained with a P-08 Luger, K-98 rifle among others, look at some of the fieldpost numbers, One I made out was Dresden. you can research the fieldpost numbers to find out where he was at. I hope this helps you out a little bit. Brian

Dear Ralph,
Apologies if your already have looked this up, but basic information about Zerstörergeschwader 101 at http://www.ww2.dk/air/zerstorer/zg101.html and https://www.asisbiz.com/Luftwaffe/zg101.html and here: http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...ader/ZG101.htm. There's a little more in-depth at http://www.cieldegloire.com/zg_101.php.
I have had a few Luft Wehrpasses and Soldbuchs and find them an excellent basis for ongoing research. With new data continuously finding its way onto the Internet, projects can retain interest over the long term.
I hope you discover lots about both the flyer and his units/awards - good luck!
Regards.
David.
