Waffen SS mentioned in a WP

Any idea what this phrase would be doing in a Heer WP:
"Angenommen als Freiwilliger fur Waffen SS Engauzungsstelle (sp?) West VI
Freiwilligen = Annahme Lisk Nr (sp?) 3246/I/40"

By Heer WP you mean it has Heer stamped on the front? Without seeing the entry in context with others in the WP I'd have to guess that....he was assigned to the Heer but volunteered at a later point for the W-SS. Or he volunteered for the W-SS but didn't get in...and ended up in the Heer.

Hi Gary,

I said Heer as he served with army units not with the Waffen SS. However, to answer your question 'Heer' is not stamped on the front of this WP. Below is a picture of the entry, which is entered on the bottom of pg 6.
