    FJ grouping FJ regiment 1

    Hi guys

I received a complete paper group which belonged to Gerhard Hierling.

Does anyone know where exactly he received his ek2? I suppose this was somewhere in Holland?

Also, he got his WBiB document in Germany, but he was wounded on 15 march '44, would it also be trackable where he was wounded?

I love the 4yr service award document which is made on extremely thick paer and signed by Student.

Any info at all would be very welcome!

There are so many other documents in it. Medal documents from the stabsartz, life insurances, but most of all papers regaring his family tree which go till 1799.

There are also documents stating he was an arian, and so his wife. Probably for an upcmming wedding? I was wondering here why these are written by the fallschimschüle??

Yep, but I do wonder why he recieved his EK2 already on 12.5.1940, so whilest the battle still was going on, and from Kdr. KGzbV1. I.m.o. this means that he was with KGzbV1 at that time for some kind of reason.

The Gefechtsstand of KGzbV1 was in Dortmund Germany at that time.

I was wondering here why these are written by the fallschimschüle??
Temporarely there as an Ausbilder could be an option.

There are also documents stating he was an arian, and so his wife.
His soon-to-be-wife. They needed those papers to get married . His 1939 Heimatadresse btw was with a women with a different familyname in Liebenstein which i.m.o. was his mother.

Great group, Giel. I saw it when it was listed. I think he was wounded in Russia when the regiment was attached to AGS at the time (either 6. Armee or 8. Armee.

The EK2 document is certainly confusing. I would think it would be for Holland but the awarding authority of KGzbV1 is puzzling. Perhaps he could have been working in some kind of temporary role or liason - could there have been FJ working among the transport units, maintaining the interests/operations of the paratroopers, but working under KGzbV1's authority? Hugo, have you ever seen anything like this?

                    Hi guys

Thanks for the responses. I will put the grouping up for sale again, I impulsively bought it as I hoped he took action in Belgium.

Thanks again and I hope they will find a good new home.
                    Kind regards,
                    Giel
