    In addition to the "Ärmelband Afrika" he is entitled to wear the "Ärmelstreifen Afrikakorps"

      it is important to point out that the first entries for the "Afrika" cuff title were made in several Soldbuch while they were still in Afrika. I have seen enties made in April/ May 1943 in Soldbuch from Germans taken prisoner. There could even be some made as early as March 1943.

      To date, no evidence has ever emerged of any German soldier wearing the cuff title on their tunic while still fighting in Tunisia but they were certainly making the entries for them in their pay books. Given the evidence, it does not look like the supplies of the title itself ever made it to Afrika before the cessation of hostilities in May 1943,

          Interesting he was living 20min away from my hometown, but i could not find
          a family named Waluberger anymore.

          I know a vet who recieved the Afrika CT 2 times, in 1942 and 1944
