Here we go, my last group and I think a nice one.

He ended the war as Oberst after fighting in Poland, France, Africa and Russia and winning an impressive array of medals.

In his Soldbuch photo he is a Major and we can see hs ribbon bar with EK II, Ostmedaille, Long Service awards and Italo-German medal.

The Soldbuch was opened before the war and was carried by him till the end of the war.

He received two congratulation letters from his RK award.
One from the Heeresgrouppe Nordukraine and the other from the 23rd Panzer Division.
