    german font for rubber stamp

Good evening, my name's Martin Hermann Drexler San Paulo, Brazil. My question is very simple, since I've started collecting some German war documents, and observe carefully the typography of the printed German stamp and I realized that the character does not play if possible. Could someone tell me what the name of that special character as separate lists in the rubber stamp ...? thank you very much

Martin, there were many different fonts used for Dienststempel stamps in WWII. The regulations stated that the stamps had to be made out of metal and that they had to be purchased through approved suppliers. The manufacturers of the stamps used moveable metal type for the lettering. In the early part of the Third Reich many new fonts appeared and were offered as moveable type by type foundries. Here is a link that shows some advertisements for some of these fonts: http://imprint.printmag.com/branding/political-types/ Few if any of the Nazi-era Fraktur fonts as created by type foundries during the 1930s exist as computer fonts today. The typeface "National" in the above link appears to be similar if not identical to one of the many fonts used on original stamps. Here are a couple of scans of original stamps showing two different fonts.
