Ian, thanks for the time you committed to this - I really appreciate it and sure hope you type faster than I do.

A couple of clarifications. Möller claimed his first victory on 4.9.1940 while serving with the 2./J.G. 77. As I mentioned, this unit was used to form the 11./J.G. 51 and from 1.12.1940, Möller was assigned to that unit. The Abschußmeldung included with Möller's Wehrpass states that he was recognized as having claimed the first victory of his Staffel, the 11./J.G. 51, on 5.3.1941 - it was actually his second victory (note that the claim may not have actually been the first victory of the Staffel; it was simply the first one that was reviewed and officially recognized by the O.K.L. - I have seen this in many other cases). I am still hoping to find some good information on the British attack on Boulogne on that day. Four pilots of the IV./J.G. 51 claimed four Spitfires, which I am assuming all were from the same unit. There must be some information out there about these losses.

    Again, thanks Ian!
