Wehrstammbuchs

Hi All,

I have been doing some reading on the forums and have found some info on Wehrstammbuchs. However, if possible, I would like to know the following:
- How common are these books?
- If issued to every soldier, why are so few available?

They are common and yes they were issued to every soldier!

I have quite a few but I prefer them to have the Soldbuch with them..even better the Wehrpaß as well!
If you look around on most dealers websites you will find them....lately, or at least in the past few years, more have turned up on the market.
These were actually held by the Wehrbezirks/Wehrmeldeamt where he joined up, as opposed to the Soldbuch which he carried and the Wehrpaß which was held at unit level.
The contents of the Wehrstammbuch should mirror that of the Wehrpaß, however I have found that this is rarely the case and info is in one and not the other!!!

I have actually sold 5 with accompanying paperwork on E-stand in the past year!
