    Hello Phil,

Yes, indeed. If it is that certain item a collector must have then the price becomes mute. On the other hand, I have passed on alot of real deal stuff over the years to save for those items that I really wanted. Yes, the investment side of collecting is always ever present, but Imo that aspect of collecting pales in comparison to the satisfaction one can discover more through research of items, even if you do not own it, than price tags.

      Hi Erich,

I convert your prices to pounds sterling at current rates that is approximately 600 pounds. In UK the SS Wehrpass and soldbuchs are around the 300 pound price range. Do not dismiss SS Polizei as a second rate Division they had a very good combat record on the Russian Front almost exclusively less a short period in Greece. I think a Wehrpass Soldbuch combination to the same man is always a little more desireable. I collect SS VT Das Reich Documents these are now very expensive. My last purchase was a file to a Kanonier in Art Rgt DR cost me about $650 dollars but unknown to the seller included a RK holders signature on on of the documents. My best Soldbuch is to a Schutze in Das Reich Reconnaisance Bn normal army soldbuch no photo. The Guy enlisted in March 42 was at Kharkov and Kursk KIA at Korotich in August 43 age 19. Only award is for frostbite Black Wound badge. Cost me $275 about 9 years ago. Saw a Wehrpass to a guy in Deutscland at the great western in Dallas last November for $600, very well filled out with Poland, French Combat listings EK II and Black wound. Uniform Photo as well.

      Cheers

        Hi Dylan.

The $850 was for a soldbuch and a wehrpass to the same soldier.

        Hi Mark,

Absolutely agree with your comments of the 4th SS PG Division - however, combat record aside, I still believe that items from this division would command slightly less than several other W-SS divisions.

          Hi Mike,

I agree with you on the perception of the polizei division, it does mean you get a slightly better deal on items to that division.(just slightly better!)

          Cheers

          Mark
