1st company SS Leibstandarte Wehrpas, opinions please.

Hi Folks, would appreciate some expert scrutiny of my 1st Company Wehrpas recently procured from Hannahs Reich and featured in the paperwork section, it didn't come cheap as can be expected but had been listed a while. Any expert opinions will be great fully received and appreciated I'm also interested in finding out any additional info regarding this soldier provided it gets the thumbs up, incidentally Martins stuff usually does.......

Well thanks for that, I am actually dyslexic and appreciate your sharpness although Im a little concerned about your perception of the word love!! lol. As for my intellectualism Im actually a former Royal Marines Commando so you could say I should have tried harder at school or you could say as indeed I would this is a massive achievement and recognized world wide as an elite but for sure I would have been no good in the registry filling out Wehrpas's, you would have been having kittens down the line if that had been my posting and outfit.
My point is the "the Leibstandarte 1st comp SS (Leibstandarte being one of the few words the spell checker on German forum as no effing idea how to spell) were very elite in every respect of the word and I have have a great deal of respect for these men so I was a little bemused at your gay abandonment, sorry if i offended you and thanks for the spelling lesson.

You have purchased a seriously rare and highly desirable SS-Wehrpass, to a unit which is extremely well documented.

The level of subsequent research you can undertake to build the picture of this man's military career in the Waffen-SS has the potential to be a 'jawdropper'.

Are you able to show any of the signatures in the Wehrpass?

                      Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

In what way were they elite? Well from the view point of a former Royal Marine if you ever read up on the stingent selection and training those men went through I have to say it even leaves my 30 odd weeks arduous training at comando training center Lymstone standing. Add onto this sheer exposure to total war on many fronts, steadfast reliance, highly motivated with good spirit de core and these are just some of the attributes that make an elite fighting force. Not only that the ground breaking advances in basic soldering for example the Waffen SS camouflage reversible tunics with spring / autumn colors for long campaigns, this is elite kit and sets them apart. I could go on but its a nightmare typing on the touch phone with my big elite thumb lol....

Thanks for that Richard, what other resources are available to carry out an in depth research on this soldier, I have the book twelve yrs with Hitler that as a couple of photographs of him featured but want to find out more, any pointers appreciated mate. I'm having problems uploading images the function doesn't seem to work half the time but will try and stick some of the signatures up for you on my lap top. Thanks again appreciate your comments.
