What do you mean by unusual? I see nothing unusual in this one.

Nice original tag (as said - nothing unusual about it)

Hello Guys and many thanks for your replies...yes I was almost sure the tag's an original and nice one...
my concerns were caused by the fact that all the tags I've seen so far were printed in revers mode (see for example two nice original found on the forum)...

thanks and sorry for my ultra-misunderstanding...

                  Hi Alessio,
I'm new to collecting dog tags and see what you mean, both soldier's information on the disc are facing the lower disc with the single hole (disc half that is removed from the fallen soldier). When it is hung around the neck the soldier, the info is upside down. This is not normally how I've seen it stamped on but good to hear it a good one !!
Another thing to remember when looking for dog tags.

there is probably a regulation about which direction / facing each other [or away], facing wearer, etc.,,,but on authentic tags its every which way you can imagine...

Once again - nothing unusual about this tag. Sometimes it's difficult to apply logics to war-time items. That's the way it is.

Just went through my collection ( i collect dog tags only by chance, when they came within an estate). And found these, so imo no way to doubt the originality on these.

btw all details of your tags are stamped in a different way than mine ....

                          ciao
