    Help with Soldbuch

Hello everyone. Having at last joined the Forum, this is my first post. I would be grateful for any information you may be able to pass on about this Soldbuch, or Soldbuchs in general. The book has been re-covered and every stamp , except one, has the swastika removed. Could this be post war de-nazification, or maybe some other reason?
I bought it about a year ago, purely for the fact that it has so many entries. 25 pages have entries, with many of these pages full. The earliest I can find is a Typhus injection on 26/8/39, the latest being an entry on page 12 dated 24/9/45. One stamp that drew my attention was from GRODNO on 21/5/42. Looking through an Atlas, Grodno is in Russia, just over the Polish border, but you may know this already. There are various Feldpost numbers, most common of which are 25073 and 45450.
Would there be any objections to me posting more pages of this Soldbuch, as I find it difficult enough to read it, let alone translate it! Thanks in advance for your collective knowledge.
    Scott B.

Welcome to the forum Scott, fire away and we will try and help!

It is not uncommon for these documents to be de-nazified as they were also used postwar as a means of identification, to record PoW pay and units etc.

Incidentally your FP Nr belonged to:

          25073
          Regimentsstab Infanterie-Regiment 327, cancelled 31.12.1941
          19.7.1942 14. Kompanie Infanterie-Regiment 585, renamed 14. Kompanie Grenadier-Regiment 585
          23.10.1943 10. Kompanie Grenadier-Regiment 585, cancelled 16.1.1945

          45450
15.7.1941 Frontleitstelle DD, then Frontleitstelle Dünaburg, then Frontleitstelle 11.

What you have there is a Soldbuch to Unteroffizier Emil Filip, born 1902.
From the photo it looks like he was award the War Merit Cross 2nd Class (Kriegsverdienstkreuz).

                Heer Soldbuch.

Hi Scottie, good to see you on the forum mate! That is a nice Soldbuch, always good to see nice worn and "been there" pieces rather than "minty" bits. Why not post further pages of the Soldbuch, it would be interesting to see the pages listing units awards and leave.

                Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

                  All the best, Scott
