Another SS TK Inf Rgt Wehrpass with questions

Believe it or not, I've got offered a second SS TK WP within one week. Also SS TK Krad Btl.
It used to be a very nice SS TK WP of a soldier who fought in the battle of France (Le Paradis?). Unfortunately war was over for him after 7 days.

IMO, someone then put randomly awards on page 21 and 23.
The rest seems to be ok. On first sight I spotted the signature of Hans Knaack.

Would be nice to hear other opinions.

    Regards

May 27, 1940 "durchbohrende Verletzungen beider Augen" he received wounds that pierced both of his eyes.

The reason for his discharge in 1941 was (dienstuntauglich mit Wehrdienst Beschädigung) unfit because of injury sustained in the line of duty.

If he was wounded by enemy fire then the WB in silver is appropriate and the award of the EKII after the victory in France plausible.

His award entries on page 21 don't look that bad to me.
It is possible that he was entitled to them and received them.
Maybe the clerk did use a wrong name for his last award.

                yours friendly

                  I agree;

Since the PAB bronze was not created until June 1, 1940 the PAB silver could be plausible.

Should I have jumped to a conclusion? Anyway, that leaves the "Panzersturmabzeichen Silber". It should be "Panzerkampfabzeichen" or - according to the early date - "Panzerkampfwagenabzeichen". Or was "Panzersturmabzeichen" another colloquial description?

To receive the PAB Silver he must have fulfilled the following criteria:
                    • the Silver class was presented to tank commanders, gunners and radio operators
                    • to have taken part in 3 armored assaults on 3 different days
                    • to have been wounded in an assault
                    • to have won a decoration for bravery in an assault

As he served his 7 days of action in France with "3. SS TK AA", I'd like to add the following:

                    SS-Totenkopf-Aufklärungs-Abteilung:
                    • 2 Kradschützen-Schwadronen
                    • 1 Panzer-Schwadron
                    • 1. Zug mit 3 Skoda-Panzern 10 t.
                    • 2. Zug mit 3 Skoda-Panzern 10 t.
                    • 3. Zug mit 3 Panzerabwehrkanonen

Did this qualify him to receive the PAB Silver?

                    Regards

Well, he was severely wounded on the 27th of May.

This is where one needs to read up on the unit history - perhaps it will shed some light on the matter.

As for "Panzersturmabzeichen" I have seen the term before on original documentation.

Oops, you were faster than I was. I've edited my posting #10 in the meantime (I found some information regarding his unit what makes the PAB possible).

And it took me a while but I found a document with the description "Panzersturmabzeichen" (in 1945!)

                        Regards

That is what makes document collecting never boring

Of interest is the place and date the man was wounded. The town of Le-Cornet-Malo was taken with heavy losses. Then 97 British soldiers were killed, after they had surrendered, by men of SS-Totenkopf-Infanterie-Regiment 3.
