    Help with SS Soldbuch

    Hi

I need help reading the stamp on the second picture.

I also need opinion on the 5 digit number on the first scan, a fp nr that makes no sense to be in a SS sb. (vet kp. 168).

Also the feld post number on the hospital page.

    Thank you

      Lee,

Veterinär-Kompanie 168 was part of 68 Inf.Div, so was that unit in the same area as your unit at any time? May or may not be a FP Nr....could even be a PoW number!

The stamp on the next of kin page looks like "3 Kp./Pz.Gren.Rgt. 33" which was 4 Pz.Div, again does that match in location to the Soldbuch holder?

The FP Nr. 17823 belonged to- Luftwaffen-Sanitäts-Bereitschaft 5/VI. It does say Luftwaffen Feldlazarett above this. I can not find any info at the moment but would suspect it was in Riga area.

Was this guy Nordland? Has wounds the same time as my uncle....I don't have his Soldbuch only one page....is page 15-16 missing

        Thanks Ian

The 168th doesn't work but the 4th Pz does. My guys soldbuch was issued HSSPF Ostland Nord . Both units operated in Latvia during 1944.

I think he was fighting on the Narwa, was your uncle also fighting there?

I wish I knew what bigger unit he was attached too.

To answer your other question Ian , 15-16 is intact and only has a SS training batl. entry.
