    General question about Wehrpass

    Hello,

could it be possible that a Wehrpass 'Zweitschrift' was issued after the soldier died?

    Thanks

Yes, of course. As an example, sometimes Wehrpäße were lost during the same action, a man was killed. Therefore, the Wehrbezirkamt, would need a "new" wherpass to send to the family.

Here is a couple of scans from a Wehrpass 'issued' in February 1940 to be sent to the family of a sailor that was killed in action in December 1939.
