Soldbuch- Obergefreiter in Nahaufkl. Gruppe Bromberg, Nachtnahaufkl. Staffel 1/31

This is the first Soldbuch I have ever had for a Luftwaffe flight crewman, I am posting it here to share it and also hopefully to get some feedback on it as I plan to sell it. I am particularly interested in hearing any comments on the value of this item as it is outside my normal collection area and I'm not sure what a reasobnable price for this would be. This Soldbuch was issued to Heinz Uze, he served with Fernaufklaerungs-Geschwader 101, later with Erg.-Nahaufklaerungsgruppe Bromberg and finally with Nachtnahaufklaerugs-Staffel 1/31. He was awarded the Air Gunners Badge and the Recon Clasp in bronze. The book comes with a really great Soldbuch cover with a nice embossed early drooptail Luftwaffe eagle. I am going to post a bunch of scans, it is a great book with a lot of interesting entries.

I took the book out of the cover to make the scans. It was issued in December 1942.

Units page and some interesting entries, he was tested for fitness for tropical duty and his night vision was also checked.

Insert for issue of a winter flight helmet. There are a couple places in the book with names and addresses in pencil, from Uze's time as a Soviet POW.

More issue entries. He was issued a lot of flight gear- the summer flight suit, insulated boots, flight gloves and goggles.

He was issued a summer flight helmet and also a caliber 7.65 pistol of an unspecified type. On Page 14 under the insert is an entry for issue of a high altitude O2 mask.

There are a couple of Merkblaetter pasted into the back. Any comments on this book are welcome and appreciated.

Nice Soldbuch, Chris. I do not actively collect Luftwaffe IDs but would eventually like to get a few Soldbücher to pilots and air crew.

Even though they do not usually wear wrappers?

Seriously, like Rob I think it is a nice soldbuch. Value? I would say USD 160 - 200.
How do I get to that value?
                        If you go here: http://www.militaria321.com/auktion/...-1%2C-2%2C-FFS....

You will find a group of another airgunner with:
                        - Soldbuch
                        - Award documents for Fliegerschützenabzeichen, EK2, EK1 and clasp in bronce
                        - Two additional licenses with picture of the guy
                        - Additional documents

He might have been in a more spectacular unit - on the other hand your soldbuch is in a clearly better shape.

And it all sold like yesterday for EUR 420 (which is a bit too low now that I think about it). Anyway, let's see what others think ... or if it will all be done via private messages like usual

Nice soldbuch, I think a very nice example compared to some
I'll take a wild guess and say $250 to $300 US
                          Cheers
                          Greg
