LW Soldbuch with Heer Uniform Photo? Wasser Entsalzungszug?

    Hello experts,

Im no Soldbuch Collector but got this one in a Trade today and it made me wonder if it is a common thing to have a Luftwaffe Soldbuch with the owner wearing a Heer Uniform?
I have a hard time reading the handwritting but it seem he mostly was Fliegerhorst personel.

of note is the stamp of "Wasser Entsalzungszug 1/III" never heard nor found any infos about it..

May 1944 he was 19. Volks Gren. Div

the pity is that it only has 20 pages

    hope you enjoy

9.3.1943 he transferred to Jäger Regiment 37 of Luftwaffen Feld Division 19. This was renamed 1.11.1943 to Jäger Regiment 37 (L) or in your case Lufwaffen Jäger Regiment 37 of 19 Feld Division (L). Also on this date the they were transferred to the Army.....so that will explain the Army uniform.
Looks like he remained with the Army until at least March 1944 when he transferred to LW Füsilier Bataillon 19 of the same Division.

Page 17 is not in date/time order so a little confusing at first.

Additionally at the bottom it says he transferred to 19 Volks Gren Div. on 10.5.1944 as it is also squeezed in at the top of the page...nothing to do with Wasser Entsalzungszug 1/III at the time.

Additionaly he would appear to have been captured 8.12.1944....19 VGr.Div. was in Saarpfalz at the time

Its a Water Desalination Platoon, the process of the removal of salts and minerals from water.
