    SS Soldbuch - schwere SS-Artillerie-Abt. 502

Here is another Soldbuch I just picked up and that I am planning to sell. I am looking for opinions on value for this book. It was issued on October 5 1944 to a WWI veteran with the rank of Rottwachtmeister d. LS-Polizei, later Rottwachtmeister der Schutzpolizei d. Reserve. It looks like he served in the Chemnitz police sporadically, perhaps he had a work-related job and only had to do limited annual service. On April 14 1945, with the Russians approaching, he was assigned to the Stabsbatterie of schwere SS-Artillerie-Abt. 502, this was an independent Waffen-SS artillery unit assigned to the 6. SS-Panzer-Armee in Hungary. He was issued a rifle on April 30, 1945. The book has its original leatherette cover which is very battered but has protected the book very well, it is very clean and in great condition. I have no idea what to ask for this so any comments and opinions would be appreciated.

I don't want to remove the book from the cover as the cover is fragile, I don't want to damage it, I'm afraid I couldn't put it back on, and it looks like it has been on there forever. But the cover of the book appears to be in great condition, the SS runes have not been removed and in fact they have been underlined.

There is a nice picture of the soldier in his Polizei uniform. He had the Ehrenkreuz fuer Frontkaempfer.

He was issued various field gear and uniform items in March 1945.

He was assigned the lowest Waffen-SS wartime pay effective April 1, 1945. I haven't seen any other Soldbuecher to this late-war Waffen-SS unit. Any feedback is appreciated.

The Soldbuch is indeed in a very good condition.
Not a lot of entries, not a lot of war, I think it can have a value about 150 / 200.
              Best, Antony.
