    Can anyone confirm that 2/Turk Nachschubs Btl 796 was from 1942 to 1943 in North Caucasus, Kuban bridge head than Crimea and in 1944 France (Normandy, near Cherbourg) thanks, Paul

      Hi Paul,

      It didn't exist until late 1943. However Georgisches Feld-Bataillon I./9 was in the Crimea. These links should help:

            Too me it look likes that all the 1944-entries are made with the same handwriting.

            So, all fake or all original?
