    Who was The hauptmann in may 1943 of The grenadier regiment 36?

    Can't you be more specific? There was more than one Hauptmann with Grenadier Regiment 36!

        Do you have a picture of a signature maybe? or is it from a photograph?

          That doesn't help either, a battalion could have several officers at the rank of Hauptmann.

          Do you mean the commander of the battalion in may 43?

          It would also help to know what makes you ask? Is it a signature on a document or in a soldbuch or wherpass for example?
          Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
