    Help with a unit stamp

    Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea what this circular unit stamp says?

    Thanks in advance.

Tough one ... is there no other stamp like it in the Soldbuch?

    " ...einheiten der ...el .. " or " .. en...leiter der .....el .."

Yes, there is one more of the same stamp in the SB but there is even less visible - and nothing that isn't readable in this one

Unfortunately there isn't much to go on

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Not sure if this manipulated scan helps much...

His last unit was Stu.Gesch.Ers.u.Ausb.Abt.400 (entered in the Feldtruppenteil section) in 1945. Unfortunately I can't pinpoint an exact date he was with this unit other than "1945" as the next dated entries after the promotion and KVK.I were entered post-war.

The same stamp appears on a KVK.I entry on page 22 (please ignore the post-war added fake EKI entry).

As I said, very little can be read from this one - the best of the two is the first one I posted, which appears on page 19.

Re. the stamp on page 19, here's a scan of the corresponding promotion entry on page 02 (entry #4). Unfortunately, most of the unit is illegible due to some spilled ink.... All I can make out is "8./Stu " (Sturmgeschütz) or "8./Sch " (Schule) - I believe it's "Sch" for "Schule."

The promotion and KVK.I were both received from the same unit and I'd really like to be able to ID exactly what unit this is.

            Thanks,
            Rob

a close-up of the entry on page 02, which I want to say is "Sch " (Schule):

Thought I'd bring this one back to the top to see if anyone might be able to help with reading/identifying the unit in the circular stamp.

                Thanks,
                Rob

Rob, I have been looking at this for a while -

Have a look, what is left in the ink smudge it fits perfect with the word Schützen ..., especially the down-stroke of the "z".

But what would be called Schützen.. in 1945?

                      Another possibility could be:

                      Sch. Pz.
