Nice grouping from highly decorated LW pilot

Actually not my field of collection, but found the lot quite nice

Small group from Hauptmann Rudolf Neuber.
    It contains :
    Soldbuch Flugzeugführerschein
    Ausweis
    POW Soldbuch

Neuber served in different flying units:
    Kampfgruppe 506
    5. Seenotstaffel
    10. Seenotstaffel
    50. Seenotstaffel
    Erg. Jagdgeschwader 1

    and was trained to fly:
    W34 (?)
    Heinkel 59
    Heinkel 115
    Donier 24
    Junker 52

Neuber recieved 7 awards during the war:
    Dienstauszeichnung 4. Kl.
    Flugzeugführer Abzeichen
    Erinnerungsmedaille 1.10.1938
    Memelland Medaille
    EK2
    EK1
    Frontflugspange in Gold

According to the Soldbuch, Neuber served in Denmark, Norway and List (Germany). Seems as he was was arwarded the EK1 while serving with Kampfgruppe 506 during the battle for Norway

The 1944 Luftwaffeverordnungsblatt, page 462, #922 states that Feldpost numbers were no longer to be used with the Soldbuch. Some units blocked all the numbers out. You will find this from time to time in other branches as it stems from a OKW order (which I don't have). Seems like it happened depending on how local commands interpreted the oder.

Looks like he did serve 3 Küstenmehhrzweckstaffel, Küstenfliegergruppe 406 which did become 3 Staffel, Kampfgruppe 506.

                      Is the Ausweis on cloth?

Very nice grouping, you have a question mark against the W34 -

I've seen them on oil cloth before but that looks simply like a piece of cloth!!
Is it stiff or just flimsy cloth?

                              /Ian
