    Signature help needed

    Hello All,

I had asked for help on two signatures a while back, and didn't receive any answers. So I thought I would repost and cross my fingers this time around. I know these are not specifically 'Wehpass, Soldbuch, and Military IDs' related, but I hoped someone may recognize the signatures, never-the-less.

    1) The first signature appears to be VATH, signing as a Flight Staff Engineer.

    2) The second signature is on a Hitler Autopen doc.

Please toss out any ideas that you may have.

    Regards, and Thanks!

The first signature I read "Väth" (Vaeth).

It should be the signature of Flieger-Stabsingenieurs Dr.-Ing. Anton Väth, member of the

Kuratorium des Metallinstituts and also Referent für Werkstofforschung für die

      Forschungsabteilung des Reichsluftfahrtministeriums.

He was a famous scientist in constructing airplanes, specialised in metallurgy.

          Gerdan,

WOW! I am impressed. Thanks so much for that information. How did you ever know all those details?

It appears that Vath was quite an important figure In the Akademie.

          Best Regards,

I just noticed the address of the addressee, Heinrich Helmbolt. It is Warnemunde.

Interestingly enuf, Warnemunde, Germany was the home of both Heinkel and Arado Flugzeugwerkes. Stands to reason that Helmbolt, the recipient of the correspondence and Member of the Aeronautical Akademie, would have lived/ been stationed there. Quite possibly, he was a design engineer for one of those aircraft companies.

                  Gerdan,

Incredible news you have provided. All of my searches came up empty. All of a sudden, my 'grouping of Documents' now has some history behind it.

Here is the Document with the unknown (#2 above) signature.

                  Thanks Again,
