Was he in Warsaw in 1944

This pass was discussed here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ght=azerbaijan

However page 4 has "Warsaw" written in, can we definitively not put him as part of the german response to the uprising? I have also included all 1944 notations. The feild post number is 807 Bn

    as ever many thanks, Paul

Warsaw is in section D which is current replacment unit for his field unit. There is a high chance he never served there as it was where he reported when convalescing, kit issues when not in the field etc.

As in the thread above Aserbeidschanisches Infanterie Bataillon 807 had its Replacement unit as Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 61 in München, WK VII, and Aserbeidschanisches Legion in Jedlnia.

Jedlnia is 55 miles south of Warsaw.

The units he served with were not in the Warsaw uprising.

The only reference I can find to a Aserbeidschanische unit in Warsaw is:

              Aserbeidschanische Bataillon I./111

Formed Winter 1942/43 in the Caucasus, 1944 in Generalgouvernement, 1945 in West Prussia.

Under: 111. Infanterie-Division, then Army Troops (Heerestruppe)(Aserbeidschanische Legion)

In the book "Warsaw 1944. Poland's bid for freedom" by Robert Forczyk, he has mention of this unit under SS Sonderregiment Dirlewanger.
