He was deployed with the Stabkomp b.Hoheren SS-u.Polizeifuhrer Ost ( Higher SS and Police Leader East) in Krakau and then Race and Resettlement he was awarded the KvK 2nd class with swords on the 30/1/1945

That is an interesting photo as I have never seen that done before. I was thinking maybe it is a crucifix but then if that was so objectionable (due to the Nazi's religious doctrine) then why use that picture at all? And I wonder why Pg 11 wasn't filled out when he was originally called up to serve in 1939?
Is there anything on Page 24 that mentions why he didn't serve after 1939 until 1943?

I'm sure someone somewhere must have a listing to help identify the lower signature on Pg 32.

If I'm really quick maybe I can edit my post and say that it could be hiding a suspects number!

He would be typical of many men of his age group that were called up for the action in Poland only, then discharged. These were trained soldiers of course from WWI.
If required some were recalled, some of course remained in the Wehrmacht and some went into whatever retirement the could according to the front!

Well, it's not his age as he was 40 when his Wehrpaß was drawn up!!

He would have been Landwehr I - Between 35 - 45 completed regular active service.

Also he was G.v.F. - Garnisonverwendungsfähig Feld - Fit for Garrison duty in the field

That is SS Hauptsturmführer (later Sturmbannführer) Wilhelm Amend. Born 2.6.1893 in Boxberg, died 25.2.1946.
