Soldbuch photos

Hi guys,
I was just wondering if any one knew what the procedure was when a soldbuch photo had to be replaced due to damaged or somehow got defaced?.
Was there any notations made in the book?
And/Or was the photo simply replaced and new set of stamps applied?

I saw a soldbuch on bill sheas site and the photo appeared to have four stamps,so iam assuming it was a replacement photo.

Any help much appreciated.

Simply restamped is the way I have seen in some examples I have/handle with photos changed.
