What kind of cover has this SS Soldbuch

I managed to buy this beautifull pass of a Volksdeutsche, who was fighting in "Prinz Eugen".

What interestets me, is how the Joegoslavien cover came on the Soldbuch. This must have been done in wartime, but how was it possible that he became permission to put on a Joeslavian cover on a german Soldbuch!

There are also two award documents with it, KVK2 and a VWA in black.

Maybe he didn't have permission (or didn't even ask for permission) and just did it and a blind eye was turned.
Nice photo in the soldbuch, what part of PE was he in?

Then he was very likely in the Yugoslavian army before Prinz Eugen, as many others also in the Handschar.
I've noticed that many soldbuch related to the WSS anti-partisans units tend to loose the original cover due very heavy wear and were often replaced with other style WSS soldbuch covers or even Heer style soldbuch covers; this may be the case.
          Very interesting.

He was born as a yoegoslavien citizen.

In the back of the Soldbuch, there are some "leave" entrys to Yoegoslavia to his hometown.

He probably changes his name to a somewhat more German looking name (or he was an etnic German of course)

              Hello Necker,

he was a Volksdeutsche for sure, and, as many others, jugdging by his age, he served also in the Yugoslavian army before 1941; Yugoslavian Volksdeutschen were Ethnics Germans with foreign citizenship, so, they had to serve in the Yugo army.

You have Soldbuch in cover of prewar Yugoslavian ID card.At the time he did not need ID card any more but hard cover was usefull and probably he just merge these two items together.

                Regards
