Wowowowowowow.... Fasten seat belts, please !
It is a replacement tag and not from a field unit ! This dogtag is not (!!!) from the regiment WESTLAND.
Dirlewanger tags are about 120-150 Eur. This one is in my eyes 100-120 Eur.
(In germany)

@Björn, What are you writing here???
You can NOT take the Prices YOU would pay for; You must think of Prices of the International Market. It´s a BIG BIG Difference! Not every Collector has your Connections Every Dealer in the World must pay a lot for their Items to buy and if they want to earn a little bit Money with it, it is necessary to sell it a little bit higher for Sure. So IMO the Price of "200" for a original Westland is not too much. Too much for YOU means NOT that it is too much for other Collectors!
And your Ideas that "It´s only a Replacement Unit" is really shocking me and is one of the biggest Bull**** I ever heard about! Sorry Björn!!! It´s really not against you but please think about it! To the last two Years of the War near every Unit in the German Wehrmacht and WAFFEN-SS was more or less "replaced" and? ..And They still fought the War like others before! About 75% of all Dog Tags I´ve found IN BATTLEFIELD Grounds were "E" stamped, they were often heavy worn and sometimes you´ve found Awards like Close Combat Clasps and else near by! So do you really think a "Replacement" Soldier was not "a real Soldier or What? I am really Confused Björn
Kind Regards
Andy

That`s not my intention !
I said, that the dogtag (!) is from a replacement unit, not thta the soldier, wearing this dogtag, is from a replacement unit ! That they all fought very hard is another question, but not the question in this thread.
The price for a replacement WESTLAND tag is another than for a "active" WESTLAND regiment tag. Why ? You answered it: Ther are more WESTLAND replacement tags than Regiment WESTLAND tags. That`s a fact.
For price question:
That`s not the price what I will pay for !
That`s a real price !
Check that dealer prices ! They are not collector prices. You can compare that here or in the MFF. Compare the price for a normal EK II here, in the MFF and from Weitze.
It is the same with with a dogtag.
What you want to pay for, or be able to pay, is not the market value, it is your value or the dealers value.
Andy, you know me...

That is the third price..
1.) Friendship price (market value)
2.) Trader buying price (under market value)
3.) Trader selling Price (over market value)
Try to orientate yourself in the line of market value and you will get a lot of good stuff here, in MFF and anywhere...

P.S.: Are you in Mügeln at the last weekend in July?Last edited by Frontalschaden; 07-18-2011, 08:57 AM.

Hi Björn,
Thank you for your answer. I understand what you mean
I wrote it because I know you as a Specialist that it´s hard to get Authentic Pieces and those Items could be traded IMO not high enough. A Dogtag was One of the most Important Equipment Items for the Soldier himself IMO all Prices are too low.. I just want to say that everybody has another feeling about Prices and Passion in this Hobby. Especially the Collecting of (SS) Dogtags is something Exciting... I am Glad that I dug out my entire little DogTag Collection out of the Earth
PS: Vielleicht sehen uns auf ein Bier in Mügeln
