Hello all,

Can anyone tell me what exactly I have here? What even is a Fuhrerschein and does the blue line going through the cover mean he was KIA?

Military Driver's Licence.

Guy appears to be a civilian. Interestingly, in the ID photo, he appears to be wearing a fliegerbluse, sans any insignia.

He's a member of the Sicherheits und Hilfsdienst - Security and Assistance Service. This was part of the Police Service responsible for air raid precaution duties etc. It later became the Luftschutzpolizei.
The blue line indicates it is invalid for some reason, out dated, killed in an air raid, left the service or something similar. I do not see him on the War Graves site.....

The holes punched in the side and the numerals '44' would indicate that it was part of a file at some point in time.
