Hello,

Very nice! I don't know if you have any information about him but Erwin Sy died as a Hauptmann on the 2nd of December 1942 at Tobruk. He was awarded the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes and the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold whilst serving with II.(Kampf)/Lehrgeschwader 1.

Thank you Dutch very interesting. Knight's cross winner - phew!! This came with a bunch of medals. I know nothing about paper items. Is it worth anything?

Ian - this came from a house clearance contact with a whole lot of other stuff this morning. All good and some quite rare and unusual. I didn't ask where he got it from.
