Just in, nice Totenkopf soldbuch.....only issue is he is wearing runic collar and not skull, is this normal?

NIce SB with a decent photo on the inside cover. Have you been able to identify the main signatures? Even though it is a zweitschrift issue, thanks to the photos you can see some of his earlier units thanks to the shoulderboards & collar tabs.

Charles Trang's book 'Totenkopf' might be able to help in identifying the signatures as it has a very helpful listing that lists commanders of the various Totenkopf appointments for all the sub units down to Kompanie level. Unfortunately I won't have my copy to hand until Friday so I can't help with that at the moment.

I'm wondering if the signature of the SS-Obersturmfuhrer & Nachr.Abt Adjutant is that of Paul Steinecke as I have him listed in that position for April 1944 but as an SS-Untersturmfuhrer, but I also have him listed as a SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer in April 1945 so he must of been an Obersturmfuhrer at some point.
