    Fallsch. A.R. 5 grouping.

Bought a few months ago but didn't showed it here yet.
Nice, also unfortunally denazified grouping of a Wachtmeister in the I./Fallsch-Artillerie-Rgt-5.
Started his carreer as a soldier and recieved a few promotions ending him just before the Ardennes offensive as a Wachtmeister.
Serverd with several LW Bau and Flak units in the east.
After the 5th Fallschirmjäger division lost most of his strength in the Normandy campaign it regrouped in Holland, where Hans Robens was transferred from the Flak to the Fallschirm to strengthen up the division, making it ready for the "Bulge". The 5th Fallschirm started in Ardennesoffensive in the region of Vianden, from there to Wiltz and Bastogne, and afterwards back to Wiltz, Dasburg, Prüm... and at the end the capture at Laacher See, Rhineland and the Harz.

The grouping contains his Soldbuch, Erkennungsmarke, Besitzzeugnis and 2 small interesting papers which appoint him to recieve rations for his unit in the months January and February 1945, and the other small paper is a Ausweis for him and to two other men of his unit to travel from Betteldorf to Lind, dated 6 March 1945. Unfortunally there were also a small 100 photo's in this grouping, but were lost at the dealer. But hopefully they come through one day...

Anyhow, another nice addition for my 5th Fallschirmjäger division (Ardennes/Eifel) collection.

Best regards and thanks to EJ for the help,

    Nick

        Nice soldbuch set

I got such a ration-receive-paper as well, it also came with a soldbuch.
Its almost the same as yours (some minor differences).
But besides ours, i´ve never seen any others (yet!).
So it looks like this was the standart ration-receive-paper.. anyone seen any others before?
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

            Haha, no

Its from a soldier that was a driver in Infanterie/Grenadier Regiment 305.
He was with this unit all the time but the ration-receive-paper was from Oktober 1943 till december 1943.
After that the Division he was in tried to free the soldiers trapped in the Tscherkassy kessel.
Here are some pics of it, the soldiers name is Richard Reichart:

Well, I am glad you didnt bought it Houwe Trouwe... because I'm very pleased with the set.
Pictures are lost in Germany among another 10.000 photo's, so chance is they will be found, it only takes a while...

                Nice document Rick.

Very interesting group - but what exactly happened to the pictures? They were lost among thousands of other pictures? How does that happen???

I just noted that your guy had once two awards which he had both to remove later in the war ... which left him without any awards after five years of doing his duty, not even a KVK2. Must have sucked!

The dealer borrowed the pictures to somebody who was writing a book... after a while the pictures got mixed up with a bunch of other ones... unfortunally.
Well time will tell if they ever show up.
