Nice to see the specific (extra) hand-written "SS - T.V." (page 5 of Wehrpass)....

*** Note that the "Waffen-SS" stamp in red on the Soldbuch's cover would have been applied upon the return of the Soldbuch to authorities upon his death (not issued that way)....

Thanks Hundstaffel, I was.nt aware of the significance of the red waffen ss stamps on the front of the books , it goes to show that you never stop learning in this hobby, I have managed to identify a couple of signatures , in the set . one is Haupsturmfuhrer Friederich Witt , 1st komp SS Totenkopf inf regt 1, the other is Obersturmfuhrer Hoy commander of 1st komp Finnish volunteer batt, I have not identified the closing signature on the books , any suggestions would be much appreciated , cheers Rick
