    I´m posting this soldbuch on request for another topic, but i thought maybe some guys here are interrested to see it as well.
    Apart from the Breslau 1945 connection nothing spectaculair though

        That guy was 64 years old (born 1880) when he received this Soldbuch.
        He even saw service in South West Afrika (Südwest-Afrika Denkmünze)

          Yep
          It looks like he had quite an army history behind him..

          I wonder why he got this Soldbuch this late in the war?
          Maybe for the defense of the city against the red army?
          Hard to find out..

            Rick, this theory with red army crossed my mind too. Well, it coud be a good explanation.

            On the other hand, his job in police service may not be necesarry connected with army duty in it´s right sence. Maybe he simply did some watch at local factory.

              Rick i think you has to sell me that one,i dont think he has seen any fight in my town,i do have a few from police units here,and the regiment name was always writen inside,but nice Breslau stamps.

                Very interesting Soldbuch, especially with the Militär-Ehrenzeichen II. Klasse (The Iron Cross equivalent of the Colonial Campaigns in China & Africa) and the Südwest-Afrika Denkmünze entries it´s quite a nice piece of history!!!
