    Soldbuch questions

    Hello,

I rencently bought this soldbuch on E-stand and I have some questions about it.

    1. Issuing date is 25 März 1943, but there are dates in this soldbuch before the issuing date. Look at the award page. Soldbuch is not a zweitschrift! Why is this possible.

    2. I bought it as a Market Garden soldbuch but when I look on Lexikon I can only find this about Grenadier-Ersatz-und Ausbildungs-Bataillon(mot) 90.

So I know that this unit was in Holland during september, but saw it action during Market Garden?

    3. What kind of pistol did he own, I can not read it.

    4. What kind of wound did him got into hospital.

    5. On the award page there is a entry that says: Schiessjahr 1933-1938 Schiesschnur für Gewehr. What does that mean.

I know, I have a lot of questions but any help would be appreciate.

    Regards

    Henry

Question 1: Its a zweitschrift for sure!

        * Check the round stamp in the top right corner of page 1.
        * Check the unit that issued it.
        * Older dates in the soldbuch.
        * Medals piled up like that with differend dates and only one round signature/stamp.

Question 4: Schrapnell from artillery or grenades/etc. but i cannot read where he was hit.

        Question 5: Its the Schutzenschnur.
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

          question 3

          page 8 a

"Der Inhaber ist im Besitz einer eigenen Pistole "Walther" 211356, Kal. 7,65. Der Besitz ist
durch Vorlage einer eidesstatllichen Erklärung nachgewiesen. 22.3.44"

So he owns a pistol "Walther" Kal. 7,65.

Nice book! I agree with the comments above, definitely a Zweitschrift as it was issued to him in 1943 when he was already a Hauptfeldwebel.
