              Soldbuch

              Thomas,
Another really nice StuG soldbuch. I have not seen many with the GAB II. He saw quite a bit of action!

What's with the Russian stamps? The ones on page 3 look like they say "Military Commandant of the City of ...". My Russian is not the best but the handwritten word looks like "Chemnitz". Actually, looking at page 12, he was in a Chemnitz hospital in April 1945, so perhaps he was still there when the Red Army entered town. So did Herbert Schübert get to keep his Soldbuch or did this come from eastern sources?

                All the best,
                Jason

                  Impressive!

I would say this did not come out of captured Russian documents since the one red booklet is from a Veterans organisation (1952).

                    Great grouping
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.
