CCC Wwehrpass to an Oberschuetze in a Landesschuetzen Btl.

I am buying this interesting Wehrpass but wanted to post it here first for opinions. The scans are those of the seller. The Wehrpass was issued to a soldier born in 1912 who was assigned duty in a Landesschuetzen unit. In 1943 he was treated for deafness and an entry in the book from December states that the soldier is not to be used in a combat unit. However, in March 1944, the unit he was assigned to (Landesschuetzen-Bataillon 543) saw heavy combat near Tarnopol and was decimated there. The entries in the book show that this soldier was wounded there and in April 1944 was awarded the silver wound badge, EKII, IAB and bronze Close Combat Clasp. Then in May of 1944 he was promoted to Gefreiter. I have attached scans of the book. Obviously much of the value in the book is the award entries, does anyone have any problems with these? This is the lowest-ranking soldier I have seen who was awarded the CCC and I am sure this award is very rare for a Landesschuetzen unit but everything here looks believeable to me. Any comments would be appreciated.

The most important scan, awards including the CCC. I look forward to your thoughts.

My gut feeling is that the award entries may be post-war added: In the space of 3 days this man, who was being treated for deafness and was not to be used in a combat capacity, supposedly won the Wound Badge In Black, IAB Silver, EK II and a Close Combat Clasp In Bronze all in the space of a few days. Considering the CCCiB required 15 Nahkampftage to be earned I am not sure about that. And the last stamp on Page 22 (which tallies with the unit he was serving with at the time and since October 1943) is completely different to the one on the bottom of Pg 23 even though the one on Pg 22 is dated approx 2 weeks later.

              Hi Chris,

The longer I look at the award entries, the more doubts I have on their originality.

Although he handwriting is well done.

And of course when a Russian horde attacks you, even an deaf soldier will fight.

But nothing about battle wound entries.

And to me the stamp that is used for the black wound badge entry is in my opinion not a good one.
Stamp on page 22 is a good one, stamp on page 23 isn't. (I am with Huck on that one).

There are more points against this Wehrpaß then that there are positive ones for it.

              yours friendly

              Eric-Jan

Thanks for the feedback. The seller agrees that these entries are questionable and to his credit has withdrawn the item from sale. I appreciate the help with this.

                  Hi Chris,

I can only agree with my fellow friends. The entries are questionable, yet very well done. The stamp on 23 is definitely not the same as 22. Glad to hear that the seller has withdrawn the sale.

On post 4 from there the stand that the "not" comes to a fighthing unit

I think the award page was fake

                    Regards Thomas

It seems the faker went "one medal too far" by inserting the CCCiB.
