Very nice Chris, I like the guy's "passport" photo in the first page, I think his collars are back in fashion . Can you id what the letters are for and what a sterbeurkunde is?

thanks for your help in posting this for me!

Bratwurst...
the letter is essentially that which was sent to his family to notify them of his death, only it is re-written because it seems (as they state in the beginning) that his family, for some unknown reason, never received the first one.

A Sterbeurkunde is a death certificate.
