Great pictures! I like seeing these books in their 'natural habitat', haha.
Here is the only one I know of. I don't actually have this picture, it is a scan from a book (hence the poor printed quality) I have and I could not find a copy of the original on the internet in my searches.
It is captured soldiers being searched on the Normandy beaches... And as you can see the soldier on the right is holding his soldbuch.Comment

Keeping in line with the Wehrpass / Soldbuch theme going here, this letter from a member of a reserve unit mentions that after they were given back their signed / validated Soldbuchs, their names were then entered into the Stammrolle.
