    FJ soldbuch on the E-Stand.

    Hi everyone,

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=495743

Looking at this SB on the E-stand were I am interested in, I also have a few questions about some entries.

IMO the EK1 award is a fake, also the other ones are hard to judge...
Also the red Fallsch. Jg. Ers. Btl. (why isn't there any number mentioned???) stamp brings some question marks. Also some of the red ink is missing and is filled out with pen, in the same handwriting as the awards.
Also some questions about the 2./Fallsch Genes Batl 3 stamp, looks kinda strange.

    Thank you,
    Nick

Found a partial authograph of Heinz Meyer RK trager in Fallsch.Rgt.15, and later Kampfgruppe Meyer???
Can anyone ID the authograph with that in the SB?

I do not have any knowledge about anything related to the 5th Fsch.Division so I can't tell you anything about the commanders etc. but:

The EKI Klasse is indeed a bit suspicious.
IMHO there is nothing wrong with the rest of the entries(unit and awards) and stamps.

He got his EK2 on 16-4-1945 and his EK1 on 18-4-1945. (within 2 days)

But looking to the entries above the EK1 and the style of writing it has been done with the same style if you compare it.
The Wounded badge and EK2 seems to be done with the same inkt and pen. (and same style)

I guess that a Major only put his signature in the soldbuch and let someone else do the writings?

2 Majors with the same clerk?
One of a Recover/Genesende Battalion and one of a Kampfgruppe???

The last unit stamped in the soldbuch 2.Fallsch.Jg.Ers.Btl. has been partly overwritten in pencil. I don't know if this is good or not. Could be period but hard to say.

I like to hear some other opinions on this one.

            Thanks for your opinion Floris.
I Wish I could still edit my post, because I realise that 'taking a quick look' isn't good.

You are indeed right about the award entries, that they are made by the same man. The "In ermangelung ..." entry has the same style as the awards but with a different pen, weird isn't it? You would atleast expect the same pen/inkt. The writings in the unit entry(Fsch. Ers. Btl) are also written with that same style.

I also would like to hear some more opinions..

Thank you guys, I really appreciate your opinions.

I'm a newbie with collecting WPs and SBs but I did found something interesting and that is that this officer, Hans Hugel, did indeed fought with the 5th FJD in the bulge and after, have it all written in a book here so thats a interesting part.
Its a pitty there are no pictures of him in the book, that could perhaps verify the awards.

The awards do concern me, and if the EK2 and WBiB are fake, so is the rewritting of the red stamp? As far as I see its the same handwritting.

Looking at his leave which is signed on the 28th of May 1943 the handwritting does look like the one of the EK1 date...
But I don't understand why the EK1 is done in another handwritting/pencil.
