Guys could help me to clarify the status of soldier of the regiment? I've got a gasmask canister with label sticked in it with name and unit of the SS soldier. His name is Karl Lambracht and his rank is Rottenfuhrer . He was member of SS Panzer grenadier regiment 4th - Der Fuhrer , the part of 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich ( The regiment has status of panzer grenadier in early 44 what would be correct with gasmask caniter which is dated 44 ). I would like to know if the guy surived the war or had been K.I.A or M.I.A . I would be very appriciated for your help.

Hmm, I don't see him on the Volksbunds site... Which doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't KIA, but their database is pretty extensive. Probably the only way you will know for sure is it you write the WAST, but they probably won't answer any of your questions unless you are family.

Try playing around with the spelling. Sometimes they have small variations in their spellings which could mean the difference between finding nothing and finding your man.
